Hopkins River is the most important river in the state of Marbella. The river begins a few miles west of Ridge Peak and finishes into the sea west of the city of Cleveland. It is a broad river, with a limited amount of branches and no delta. Halfway, a small island interrupts the flow and splits the river in two for three miles.
There are a couple of important roads crossing the river, and the river itself splits the most inhabited area of New Shetland in two. The town of Coagh and the western neighborhoods of Blakesville lie at the banks of the river.
